Hiring TUTORS for our Tutoring program

VWAT is looking for TUTORS for our Tutoring program.



  • Familiarity with the Ontario Curriculum and demonstrates both competency and comfort in teaching Grades 1-12 English and Mathematics (strong preference for Senior High School Mathematics)
  • Prior experience mentoring/teaching students at both a one-on-one basis and in a small group Collaborate with other tutors to optimally teach students
  • Delegate responsibilities to program volunteers
  • Record attendance of students
  • Teach, assign, and mark homework and tests
  • Communicate student progress to Program Coordinator and parents
  • Assist Program Coordinator to promote program and recruit student


Fall Term runs September 10, 2017 to December 17, 2017

Program Location:                 Oakdale Community Centre

350 Grandravine Drive, North York, Ontario

(just North West of Jane St. & Sheppard Ave. W.)

Program Times:                      Math               12:00pm – 2:00pm

English             2:00pm – 4:00pm
