Founded in 1982, VWAT Family Services has been playing an important role in the integration of immigrant families by creating and sustaining a cultural centre for newcomers, families, youth and seniors. We are aware of the diverse cultural profile in our community and have a mandate to address the needs of newcomers of all cultural backgrounds with the goal of aiding in integration and belonging.
Our programs, services and events are informative, social and provide attendees with a sense of belonging. We offer programs for newcomers, youth, and seniors alike where you can get assistance with your integration to Canada, learn about the different cultures, and find out from staff and volunteers how you can help make the lives of other newcomers to the community, a better experience.
The Vietnamese Women’s Association of Toronto is committed to advancing education, providing supportive counselling, promoting healthy living, and encouraging integration for newcomer communities, raising awareness of domestic violence, and fostering community development.
