🕙 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Are you a high school student getting ready for college or university this fall—or just curious about campus life? Join us for Real Talk: College + Uni Life 101, a free one-day event designed to help you feel confident and prepared for this next big chapter.
You’ll learn real-life skills, get advice from current students, and explore how to navigate cultural shifts while staying true to yourself.
🧠 What’s in Store:
🔹 Adulting 101 Workshop
Led by Hong Fook staff, this session will cover life essentials like adapting to change, time management, habit stacking, coping with stress, and navigating responsibilities as a young adult.
🔹 Youth Panel: Ask a University Student
Hosted by Marilyn (VWAT), this panel features real university and college students sharing honest stories and advice about post-secondary life. Ask anything—from how to join clubs to what to expect in your first year.
🔹 Adapting to College/University Workshop
Also run by Hong Fook, this session focuses on helping youth adjust to Canadian campus culture. We’ll cover everything from effective communication, making friends to understanding cultural norms and finding community.
🔹 Icebreakers & Peer Connections
Start the day with fun activities to get to know each other and build friendships before you even set foot on campus!
🔹 Wellbeing & What’s Next
We’ll end the day by sharing mental health tips and information about an upcoming wellness workshop later in June, in partnership with Hong Fook.
