Dear Youth,
Have an idea you’ve been wanting to bring to life? This is your chance.
VWAT Family Services is now accepting applications for Cohort 7 of our Leader Maker Microgrant Program. We are offering $5,000 in funding to support youth-led projects that make a real difference in the community.
We are looking for newcomer and racialized youth (ages 15–30) who want to create projects that promote inclusion, wellness, and youth resilience. Whether it’s a workshop series, community event, creative project, or support group — we want to hear your ideas.
Through this program, you will not only receive funding, but also:
- Mentorship and guidance to bring your project to life
- Leadership and skill-building opportunities
- Community service hours (minimum 30 hours)
- A certificate of achievement
- Access to additional supports, including mental health resources
Your project should aim to:
- Serve at least 25 individuals
- Create positive impact in your community
🗓 Application Deadline: May 10, 2026 at 11:59 PM
While we welcome all applications, two projects will be selected for funding in this cohort.
