In 2026, VWAT organized two major health seminars featuring respected and well‑known guest speakers in the field, along with two outdoor walking events for cherry blossom viewing at High Park and Centennial Park. These activities aimed to promote community well‑being, encourage active living, and provide valuable health knowledge to participants.

VWAT also provided bus tickets and light refreshments for all attendees, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone.

1. Health Workshop

On Thursday, April 30, VWAT hosted an informative and well‑attended health seminar featuring Pharmacist Dũng as the guest speaker. The session focused on the important topic of chronic underlying conditions, which play a significant role in overall health, especially for older adults and individuals with long‑term medical concerns.

During the presentation, Pharmacist Dũng explained common types of chronic conditions, early warning signs, risk factors, and practical strategies for managing symptoms and preventing complications. Participants also had the opportunity to ask questions directly, helping them gain clearer guidance on daily health care, medication use, and the importance of regular check‑ups.

We invite all community members to revisit the photos captured during the seminar.

2. Outdoor walking at High Park

On Tuesday, May 5, VWAT organized a beautiful cherry blossom walk at High Park, drawing nearly 100 community members to join the spring outing. Under the gentle sunshine, participants strolled along the park’s iconic sakura paths, enjoying the breathtaking blossoms and capturing memorable photos together.

The walk offered a refreshing blend of nature appreciation, light exercise, and meaningful social connection.
